Day 121- Escapee

I sat Alaina down on her towel after her bath, and she took off.  Guess where she headed?  Straight to her favorite spot- the stairs.  She had fun crawling around with the towel on her head.

Day 120- Last fire of the spring?

We thought we already had our last fire, but it has been in the 30s the past few nights.  I bribed Angela over with a fire.  You can see Alaina’s little rat tail, too.  I’m tempted to cut it soon.

Day 119- “What do you mean, ‘no’?”

This is another favorite place to play.  I know, gross!!!  She figured out how to flush today and flushed the toilet 3 or 4 times.  At least it keeps her busy while I take a shower.

Day 118- First strawberry

I decided to let Alaina try a strawberry today. My mom and I were driving home from Charlotte and passed strawberry fields where they were picking fresh strawberries.  I decided  I may let Alaina try a strawberry but not much and probably not till we got home.  Well, she grabbed the strawberry and wanted it then!  I had to pull the whole strawberry out of her mouth a few times.  She was going crazy on it!  She had some more when we got home.  She cries when I quit feeding her.   (Thanks Mom for the picture.  I cheated a little.)

Day 117- What?

I really haven’t been taking pictures much lately.  Just enough to get by.  Alaina is so expressive and fun to snap pictures of.

Day 116- Dirty baby

The picture does not do justice to how dirty Alaina got today.  We went to help Susan move her shop to a new location.  We spent the day at the old shop cleaning and moving things.  Alaina did a great job of buffing the floor.  She had so much fun crawling from one end to the other.  She was such a good girl to let us get so much work done, but she was by far, the dirtiest she has ever been.  She doesn’t look like she minded.  She was playing Pat-a-Cake with Nana in the driveway.

Day 115- Another baby

Alaina has so much fun looking at her reflection.  We went to Charlotte today for the weekend.  That’s why I am behind again on my daily pictures.

Day 114- Zoo Day

Alaina and I took Cortland on his fieldtrip to the Knoxville Zoo.  We had a great time!  It was Alaina’s first zoo trip.  Cortland had fun with his friends and looking at all the animals.  Alaina had some new firsts.  She got to pet a goat, llama, and sheep.  She got to ride the carousel and got kissed by a camel.

Day 113- Happy Earth Day!

Day 112- Sunrise in spring

I love waking up to the nice, warm, orange sunlight shining through the windows.  I see it peeking through the trees in the morning and at night.  It makes getting out of bed a little easier.  I like the glow on the blossoms in the trees and the funky sunflare in this picture.
