Day 245- Bubbles!

Alaina loves bubbles!  What kid doesn’t, I guess?  She likes to pop them in your face as you blow them.  She thinks it’s hilarious!  She will take the wand and getting her tongue just right, to help her concentrate, stick the wand in the bottle.  Sometimes it takes a lot of tongue positioning to finally get it, but she will get it.

I just realized that when I post horizontal pictures, it has been cutting off the right side of all my pictures.  I am pretty unobservant to just now realize that.  I noticed the little bit of Tyler that should be there wasn’t.  I went back and looked at my horizontal pictures, and it really hasn’t mattered much or lost much of my picture.

Here is what was missing.  That’s a lot of picture to not notice.

Day 244- Our “Beach”

This picture doesn’t do the campsite justice, but it is out on a little peninsula.  We had to hike up and down the mountain to get to the cars, but it was so worth it!  It makes me think of the movie, The Beach.  We were able to have that mentality for a couple of days, at least.  Nobody leaves the island, who is going back for supplies, no worries, etc.

Day 243- Fun with fire

Tyler and I left Alaina behind with Nana to go camping this weekend.  We met Ashley, Jason, Aaron, Matt, and Fern at Lake Santeetlah for a weekend of  "roughing it."  It is not a big campground, so there are no facilities, but I wouldn’t say we roughed it.  We bring along just about everything but the kitchen sink.  We love camping there- right on the water.  Thanks to Ashley’s mom for sending the Tiki torches!

Day 242- New website

Well, Amy and I finally got a website up and ready for business.  We are still working out a lot of details, but it’s a good start.  I sent an email to those of you that I had email addresses saved.  We are offering half-off sessions for a bit to build our portfolio and website.  Let me me know if you would like to schedule a session!

Day 241- More rain

We’ve been without rain all month, and now it’s rained for three days straight.  We’ve been stuck inside mostly.  Alaina was dying to get out, so I let her go play on the deck tonight.  She crawled around all over the wet deck and got her pjs all wet.  She used her slide like a water slide.  I loved the lower right part of this leaf, where the water magnifies the veins of the leaf.

Day 240- Boo!

Alaina likes to play peek-a-boo on the steps, and I guess Cocoa does too.  I was standing downstairs under her.  She was looking down from the upstairs balcony.

Day 239- Giant baby?

is it a giant baby or is her car just a little small?  Well, it’s not exactly a riding toy.  It’s a Little People car, but she’ll try to ride it if she can.  She went to the doctor this week for her 1 year check-up.  She now weighs almost 25 lbs and is 30 in tall.

Day 238- Flying “hi”

This is Alaina’s backwards wave.  She first started waving with her hand facing out over her mouth, flapping it up and down.  It has now progressed to this backwards wave, where she waves with her hand facing herself.

Day 237- Getting late

This was Saturday around 11 or 12.  I didn’t get around to taking any pictures today.  This is me taking a picture into the mixing bowl.  It’s a neat perspective of my kitchen.

Day 236- Look Mom!

I’m not sure what she was looking at, but she looks excited.  It was probably a cat.  She never fails to get excited when she sees them.  She loves her new Birthday wagon, too!
