Day 91- Swinging

Alaina had fun playing on the porch swing.  Too bad it’s not hanging up yet.  That will be even more fun!

Day 90- On the farm

Alaina, again, was interested in the horse but not too excited. One day she’ll be big enough to ride it and want one of her own. Lani, her grandma, will be more than happy to show her.

Day 89- Puppy kisses

Alaina got to see lots of new animals this weekend.  She was interested in looking at them and not scared but not too impressed either.  I tried a "morning glow" action on this picture.  I’m not sure if it works or not.  I couldn’t decide if I liked it better before or after.

Day 88- Beautiful Kentucky

We went to visit Tyler’s mom in KY this weekend.  It is a beautiful part of the country.  I love visiting different places and going places I have never been before.  It looks a lot like TN in places but very different in others.  They live on completely flat land for almost as far as you can see.  It’s great to watch the sunset and sunrise.  It kind of reminds me of the beach in a way?  It was a little cold and rainy but still pretty.  The wind whips through, making it a chillier.  This was a nearby hill where we went to see the cows baby cows and horses.

Day 87- Breakfast of champions

Breakfast can get complicated some mornings.  I have my coffee, water, and Amish bread.  I have to heat the milk for the rice cereal and then mix it up.  Alaina gets her cereal, a fruit, and a veggie.  Meanwhile, Alaina is sitting in the highchair getting impatient.

Day 86- Zoom!

I have been wanting to play with zooming while taking a picture with a slower shutter speed.  I finally finished reading Understanding Exposure.  Peterson played with this technique a few times, and it looked like fun.  I did some with a fast zoom and some with a slower zoom.  It was fun to see the different effects.  (You can see others if you click on the picture and go to my flickr home page.)

Day 85- 18% gray

I’ve been reading and trying to learn how to meter for 18% gray.  Ali, my cat is trying to help me get the metering down.  She attempted to turn herself to 18% gray.  She is usually black and white, not gray.

Day 84- Happy Birthday to me!

Tyler bought me a flash for my Birthday. It’s great to have, but now I have more to learn. This was my first attempt at bouncing the flash behind me. I have so much more reading to do now.

Day 83- Easter

Alaina wants to eat the daffodils, go figure.  She was wearing her Easter dress that a lady that Tyler works with made for her.  The weather was great the past two days but was pretty chilly today.

Day 82- Future baseball champ

My nephew, Matthew just started Wee ball, although he has been obsessed with baseball since he was a baby.  Today was his first practice, and he practiced some more at my mom’s.  They practiced batting and running to first, or third, or wherever he feels like running.  He was working on dropping the bat after he hits and keeping his tongue inside his mouth.
